Lunches: We are in need of a few parents to help with our jr. high fundraising lunch project. About once a month, each jr. high class is responsible for shopping for and cooking lunch for the school. The proceeds from these lunches directly benefits the hosting jr. high class. Without these lunches, many extra activities are not possible, such as a 7th grade field trip, a nice graduation dance, etc. Extra money raised in 6th grade is passed on with the class to 7th. The 7th graders usually take a nice field trip either on amtrak or a via bus. Also, the 7th graders host the graduation dance. Please consider sharing your time and talents to help with this cause. If you are able to help in this way (you earn service hours), please contact Mrs. Lorenzi via email or call Carnation. As of right now, the 6th and 7th grade classes have no one to help with this. Two or three parents could do this together, even if your child is in a different grade.

Homework help will begin this week. It is Monday-Thursday, 2:30-3:30. Please be prompt in picking up your children, as many times the teachers have appointments. Sixth grade homework help is with Mrs. Wennberg on Mondays and Wednesdays and with Mrs. Lorenzi on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

October Mass: The 6th grade and kindergarten classes will be planning the October Mass which will be the Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis. I will be collecting pet pictures (or pictures of the pets with the students) to use on our class poster. This poster will be brought up during the offertory at Mass. Please send in your pet pictures by Friday, Sept. 11.
